Leonard Reel
#1Has anyone ever seen one of the early black/silver trout reels with the Leonard Mills and Pat stamp on the front and Light and Heavy words on the back regarding the drag ? I'm surprised to see that on a trout size reel ( 3 1/8 x 1 3/16 ) ?

#4It's hard to tell without pictures but I think you are referring to a Leonard model 50A-D and these are listed as salmon reels.
Re: Leonard Reel
#5My Leonard Mills with Patent Pending and Light & Heavy drag position indicator on the back plate is a salmon reel, Model 48M

#6The reel you are talking about is a model 51-AD = adjustable dragTrout120-1 wrote: ↑01/12/21 22:39Has anyone ever seen one of the early black/silver trout reels with the Leonard Mills and Pat stamp on the front and Light and Heavy words on the back regarding the drag ? Some call then a large Trout and some call them a lite Salmon
They are 5 pullers reel, they have the same drag as the model 48 Salmon reel which is larger and have 6 pullers
They all so made the 51 with out the drag, which is the hard one to fine, I wish I could fine one
