Appraisal request- Young red agate reels

#1

Post by cregb »

Hey, haven’t been monitoring prices lately on Young reels so asking for fair market value on these two reels. No comps on the web site so drawing blanks other than what I paid for them 5+ years ago.

First is a nice 3” Young red agate Perfect style badged for Bernard and Sons, Pall Mall.

Second is a not quite 3 1/8” St. George style badged JW Young with noted finish loss.

Will post appropriately in Classifieds later to fund an Alaska trip this summer. Thanks for any input, and PMs are fine. I’m pretty sure they aren’t quite $35k, but a guy can hope :rollin

I believe this post-sale link compares well with your JWY Model 14.
If linking this transgresses, I apologize, but it seems quite relevant to the OPs query.

Thank you both. I seem to have missed those in my bay search.
