while we're voting on your next project, let me be the first to request the 2 3/4" wide drum... nice trout size with ample room for backing/line... i think the metal line guard would be nice on a reel like that as well...

also, I have no idea if you can do it but i'd LOVE to hear an audio file of this reel....

? For someone like me this is about as enjoyable and as informative as it gets.Most of us know full well how rods are made(especially those of us who make rods). Reels,not so much. Thanks for sharing all this with us!!!!

Is it an agate, or is it agatine? The color looks really uniform, and a bit too transparent to be agate.
