It walked into my booth at an antique show in the purse of a nice old lady. I had the strangest feeling at first that

it was some sort of gyro gearloose gadget made up from scraps out of the dustbin of history; it was so unusual I did not completely trust it. Only three are known to exist.

Ultimately I sold it because startup antique dealers can't keep anything for very long. What a jerk.

Once it was gone, I missed it so bad I had a guy named Janciuras make a few copies for me from photos.

He had never heard of Edward vom Hofe, and thereby hangs a long tail.

I'll have to declare fishugo the unofficial winner.

Of all the very cool reels I have bought and sold I never had one that approached the reels greenwell & fishugo let go.

Even the best of the best could be replaced just maybe not at the same price as before.

The EVH is and amazing gem from the past, thanks one and all for sharing your reels and stories.

Greenwell and fishugo,  Don't feel bad.  I wish I still had my BMW 2002.
