I inquired about the reel... but I just couldn't pull the trigger.

It really is the one I am after.. that and a Multiplier.

Yes, this reel is my very small LRH collection and has been wheeled out here before. No size marked, overall diameter is 3 1/8"

When I was just starting out, in the mid 60s, Kerr was the ultra high end shop in the LA area. We would go in and drool over the fine double guns, bamboo rods, Hardy reels and other esoterica that we could only dream about.

That said, here's a 2-screw Princess:

Hooray for the small LRH collection - newly added clean 1960's 4 pillar Lightweight

The solid silver spool is the sexy eye appeal for me :

Malcom - that boxed reel of yours is a première piece... what a looker.

Brian, do you have the 3-pillar RHW only with the pre-patent 2-screw line guard and the 3-pillar reversible with brit pat line guard. There are ever so subtle differences between this reel and the later non-marked brit pat line guard version. Differences include width of rim, and how the foot is attached. Oh, I saw a lovely 3-screw leaded version of the lightweight sell on eBay recently. The seller informed me that it was off to Japan.

Cheers,
Joe

Holy bananas Joe - I am not sure if I can dial in my skills to detect all that going on in one fly reel.
Wow I still have much to learn if there are such details...

I hate that I might have what you are seeking and honestly do not know it yet - back to the books I go.

There is one early single check Lightweight with my name on it out there - I just have to find it.
