Wing sets

A place to discuss the collecting and tying of classic flies, the tyers who made them famous, the tools, materials and techniques they used as well as the waters they were designed for. While classic is generally used to describe old things, classic is also used in the sense of first class or in the highest form. Therefore a fully dressed Salmon Fly, or a Carrie Stevens Streamer are just as much classics as a Chernobyl Ant would be. Enjoy the forum.

This is just my opinion, I have never been a fan super glue of any sort. Now Loctite has different formulas, red, blue and a couple of other colors, which do you use. My mentor uses and recommends fabric glue. It has a long working time and it is thick so it doesn't bleed.

Thanks, I have not seen that one. When I get a chance to go to HD I'll pick some up.

I used the version for "Vinyl, Fabric, & Plastic," which is flexible. Comes out of the tube clear and dries clear too.

Doesn't smell half as much fun as Griff's used to do, though--lol.

bb, do you still want Griffs?

Had things worked out this Spring i would have handed you an unopened, well seasoned bottle.

Yes, please!--if we don't get a big second wave of Coronacrap in the fall, I'll try to come up north, and we'll get to swing some streamers along the banks together--.
