The PM goes from the other person to you - or you to the other person.

You type your message .. hit send.. and wait. No way to tell until the person replies.

Try sending me one. Right now. Look at the time.

Test message. The problem I have is that there is no send/submit button at the bottom of the post and I am unable to send.

My experience:
  1. *Tap “New Messages” at the top to go to your user page
*Select “Private Messages” on the left under “Options”
    *Select “Compose Message”
*Type forum user’s name in “Usernames” box on left
    *Tap the “Add [To]” button
    *Type subject and message
    *Tap “Submit”
Hope there’s a helpful answer here for you somewhere.

How to send a PM

#5

Post by killim »

After following the suggestions from woollyM, I am still unable to send or reply to a PM. I do not have the option to "Submit". What am I doing wrong? This is really frustrating as I have several PMs to respond to and cannot do so. Surely there is someone out there who can figure out what I am doing or not doing!

Sorry it’s not working for you. Here’s what the right side of my “Compose Message” screen looks like, with the “Submit” button in the lower right:

If you post an image of yours maybe we can figure this out.

If others run across this, killim's problem was most likely caused by his browser window setup and he had to scroll to the right to show items - like submit - that were to the right side of his display.

There is a way to tell if someone has read your message without getting a response. There will be a number one in parentheses (1) next to "outbox" in the "options" box after you send a message. Once the receiver has opened your message, the (1) will be gone.
