#21At least he didn't have to use a 56k modem connection like I did when I transferred it to YUKU from EZBoard with less than 8 hours warning and little sleep for 4 days! Nice work Mark.......

#24we'll be giving up some things - fancy profile pages, yuku's excellent topic/page/forum search engine.
But the speed of php should make up for it.

Password changes
#26Go to the User Control Panel > Profile > Edit Account Settings page.
If you have not entered an e-mail yet, enter your e-mail (twice), enter your new password (twice), enter the temporary password, and click Submit. Your account will be temporarily deactivated. You will receive an e-mail at the address you gave above. Click the long link in the e-mail, log back in with your new password and roll.
If you have entered an e-mail (you'll see it there), just enter your new password (twice), enter the old password, and click Submit. You don't have to go through the reactivation. You will be set to go.

#31Does anybody know whether it's possible to forward YUKU messages to an email account? Or should I just copy the text of ones I want to keep?
Re: Welcome to the New Forum
#32I tried to forward to my email - it said it wasn't a recognized name for yuku, so I just copied the ones I most wanted to keep to a word doc.teter wrote:Does anybody know whether it's possible to forward YUKU messages to an email account? Or should I just copy the text of ones I want to keep?

#34Finally got a temp password that worked. Thanks, Mark. Just one curmudgeonly request - can you unbold the topic headings when you go to a specific forum? I find them hard to read, SORT OF LIKE TRYING TO READ SOMETHING IN ALL CAPS. Otherwise, carry on.

Let's get everyone in safely first. There are nearly 8,000 of you and it looks like I will be pulling an all-nighter.
Everything is dealable. Some things are different. You have new features to play with too!
I might have been a little 'to the point' getting you guys in but it is hectic back there and there have been things going wrong to deal with and keep going.
We'll get there!

#39To the Wizards of Oz behind the curtain...Thanks!!!
All together now.....
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
and surely I’ll buy mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
