Thin Blue Lines

#1

Post by Eperous »

Today's mail brought a book by Alan Petrucci my way titled Thin Blue Lines. It reminds me so much of much shorter version of Robert Traver's ( John D. Voelker) book, Anatomy of a Fisherman. Petrucci's book includes some great photography of little wild brook trout from the northeast, a few small streams, plus wonderfully tied streamers in the tradition of Carrie Stevens.

I don't know Alan at all, but feel very lucky to have stumbled upon his book.

I got through to Alan, and payed for/received his book. The book is really a self-published photo album (an expensive one). Published through the web-site blurb.com. The photos are very nice, but it is very short on words. If you are looking for a book to read this is for you.

Try again, I believe he is retired and may be out of town or traveling. I do have the author's phone number, I'll email it to you. Here is a quick snapshot of the book:

Mark... make sure you use the email that I posted at the top of this thread, and NOT the one in his blog which I believe is incorrect... I deleted all my emails about this, so that's all I can offer...
