Hello from Zurich
#1Dear all
I am an allround fisherman with a heart beating for old tackle. All I own of this is swiss and british (and two semi old Billy Pate Trout). My flyrods are build by Fritz Schreck and Chapman of Ware. At the moment I am much interested in silk line restauration.
Kind Regards
Mötti

#4Hello Mötti,
There is some information available on silk line refinishing by overmywaders, which many here have used successfully. Welcome to the forum.
Cheers,
Joe

Re: Hello from Zurich
#5Welcome! I was recently in Zurich. Enjoyed it very much. I saw many streams in that area that should be fun for fishing.

Re: Hello from Zurich
#8Thank you for the warm replies. I will fish for trouts in lake Zurich with streamer, in river Sihl when I can find there and if it goes how I like in the highlands of Bern. We have several promlems with trouts in Switzerland. Illnes, funghi, clima change, chemicals from the farmers and last but not least the wrong low. Kanton Graubünden will as first of all initiate strong catching windows next year. C&R is not allowed in Switzerland. It's only allowed to fish. Winners are chubb and catfish. Loosers are trout and greyling.
