new guy from Oregon
#1Hello I have been following this site for some time and want to thank all of you for so much valuable information on fishing and restoring bamboo fly rods. I began fly fishing as a young boy in Montana. My first rod was simply a stick with a line and clear bobber and fly attached. Back in those days it worked very well as the creeks were full of trout, many which had never seen a bobber or fly before. My how things have changed. My home water now is the wonderful Deschutes River, which I fish quite often. Counting down the days for the big hatch. Again, thanks for all the info and good fishing to all of you Jerry

#11Thank you all for the warm welcome. This is a wonderful forum. With all of what is happening in the world right now, I look to fly fishing more than ever. To listen to the sounds of the river. #13Welcome Jerry, My granddaughter & husband live a short distance from Medford, "Jacksonville" and her husband does some guiding on the Rogue River out of Grants Pass. Never been out to visit or fishteter wrote:Welcome from the Rogue Valley.
