Hello from Germany

#1

Post by wiesent »

Hello everyone,

my name is Hannes, I am 21 years old and I come from Germany. More precisely, from Upper Franconia, Bavaria. Therefore I apologize for my english :D There I also fish on a chalk river called Wiesent. Since two years I have been fascinated by this passion and since then I like fishing with bamboo rods and I thought that forum is the right one for me! I came to fishing with beautiful bamboo rods through my father and a longtime buddy of him.

I caught this somewhat smaller brown trout with my first bamboo rod. A Chris Carlin 8' 4wt LM-Taper.

Best regards,
Hannes

Willkommen Hannes, your country is beautiful. I hope to fish there someday. That's a nice brown trout and a fine bamboo fly rod.
...as for us we pin our faith and fealty to the silk-wound PENTAGONAL rod cunningly yet simply devised of its FIVE subtle, individual triangular strips of cane throughout...

You’re certainly starting your bamboo career off right with a Carlin. One is still on my wish list. Welcome.
