I'm new here, and let me say a big thank you for the sharing of knowledge and information related to bamboo rod making.
I found this site while searching for tools necessary to begin my journey as a rod maker. That was in Nov 2020 after returning home from my first experience taking a rod making class with Bill Oyster. I'll post more about that experience on that thread. But I have already gained a bit by reviewing topics on this site and look forward to the adventure as it unfolds.

Regards,

I too caught the bug from Bill and Riley, I was hooked, (no pun), after the first day, Wife knew it as soon as I walked in the door day 1. I've taken the class twice and am signed up for a third this June. Currently waiting on my Beveller and Forms to continue on my first "Homebrew", (again, no pun), Fly Rod.
Welcome, and keep me posted on your progress.

Welcome. Mr. Oyster makes beautiful rods, and I hear he's a great teacher.

Welcome to the forum, Dennis.
I'm in Scaly Mountain, NC and also built a rod with Oyster, in May of 2017.
