Hello ... I've tagged in from the other side of the pond. This forum is the one source of information that I've found on Andy Barr's fly rods. I have one that he made expressly for Alan MacKenzie in 1977. It's a 7 1/2 foot Stream King, 2 piece with a spare tip and I don't think it has ever been fished as it is minty. It is about to see the river Andy emigrated to Canada from Scotland, it seems that at least one of his rods made the return journey back to the UK.
kindest regards,
Mike.

#5I am an advance collector with 85 fly rods. 50 are bamboo. 5 are Andy Barr and 2 are Joseph Boivin. Looking for more rods of these manufacurers.

#8Thanks all, I have to admit to not owning just one or two split cane fly rods, my wife forced an inventory a while back, I'm pretty sure that is well out of date. Shhhh!

#9Mike, it's just a guess, but I'll wager there may be a fair number of folks on the Forum that can relate to that remark!
