Richard Mason, where are you?
#1Long time board member, Hardy collector, and Bow River guide extraordinaire. Fished with him several times, a great guide and true gentleman. Just trying to find out if he is still around, would love an email or PM address if anyone has any info. Skitees@msn.com

#2Sadly, I heard he died. Diabetes caught up to him. I really hope the info I received was wrong. He was a hell of a guy and a great all around dude.

#3I believe he is still posting on Speypages as of a day ago, hoping I am right.

#5Hey Richard, Bob Divine checking on you. My dog Cody and I fished the Bow with you a few summers, several years ago. I knew you were too ornery to be dead! Always remember your hospitality and your wife's great cooking. Planning on fishing BC this summer if they ever let us in. My email: Skitees@msn.com

#6I'm not convinced. He's from the Maritimes so he could drop dead on Monday and not stop telling stories until Friday.

I sure do remember you and that fine partner you had
He loved sitting on my back deck all excited when you had a good fish on
I just can’t see them opening the border anytime soon
I think they want 70% of the people vaccinated

#8Hey Rich, Ron here. I too was wondering where you've been since I haven't run into you on the Bow or fishing the GAP in southern Alberta. Are you still in Okotoks?

I heard he died in the Great Calgary Kangaroo Stampede of ‘09, but since Dutchie is 90% gristle I knew the rumors of his demise were exaggerated, kinda like the size of his catches.

#10Hey, Richard!!! I am a total idiot... or the guy that told me is. Probably both. Anyway, it's Bill Bly from Maine. I fished a couple years in a row with you and a buddy of mine, Kirk. I'd LOVE to come back up fishing next year. Are you still guiding? Let me know and I sincerely apologize for spreading a false rumor. I'd really like to do another trip with you.

#12It’s always good to drop in and see all you guys
Life has treated me good , semi retired and fishing all the time
I got very addicted to chasing steelhead , it’s a good addiction to have
I also spend lots time fishing for walleyes and big lake trout
And I still do some guiding on the side
I sure do remember everyone of the members who I took fishing
How could I not
I’m not dead or even ready for the rocking chair yet
And Howard
I still look everytime when I pass that spot for a Canadian Roo
