I just joined the forum. I’ve always been interested in classic rods. I finally have been able to purchase three bamboo and one fiberglass rods to use in learning how to restore rods. I live in the central Maine area. I was away from fishing for a number of years due to other commitments, but have started again about four to five years ago. When I fished years ago, I targeted brookies mostly, these days, it is whatever happens to swim by the fly. I’m looking forward to all the great restoration advice from everyone, as I start on the rods this winter.

#2Afternoon Greg - Welcome to the forum.
Surely you will find a slew of others from your area... some who like bamboo rods too.

You either like cane fly rods - or you don't.
