Jeff, Looking forward to "pre phase 1 (of the pandemic restriction lifting) WATBOT watching". The county I live in, with only a few hundred cases of COVID in total, failed to submit it's application to have the restrictions lifted ... idiots!

I suppose this was a little cryptic, so steeliefool you can now delete your posts.

Wading Along The Banks Of Time, Stick in Hand

is the meaning of Royce's acronym. It looks like he transposed an A for the O.

The title of this thread and the DVD project is what he was referring to I believe.

And once the PO opens this morning all packages will be on their way. Canada and Scotland and all overseas packages going out this morning.

Good to be caught up with shipments on their way will be a bit slow due to media mail but they do get there.

P.S. if anyone is lacking DVD pages let me know, new shipment coming in soon and I am happy to send them to those who ended up with 3 pages instead of 8, please let me know. Thanks

whew! glad they are arriving!

This is the companion to "Rod Crafting" and it is being done in a way that I wanted to do Rod Crafting but was not able to at the time.

When done it will also include my Powerpoint presentation Titled "Gnomes Irreverant look at the history of fishing" a 40,000-year look at the history of fishing. And as a special thanks to my subscribers, there will be an additional set of discs that will hold a unique surprise. A video consisting of a Celtic gnome reading to you a series of short stories that I hope will have you laughing and cussing the gnome because of sore ribs.

YeeHaw! found the publisher to do the matching Technical manual for the Documentary. Have a wee start with about 20 rods tapers taken. I am a bit slow with taking the tapers but they are coming along pretty well. The tech manual will be drilled to fit the three-ring binder. Looking like about 100 to 120 pages with the tapers, each rod will have its own page and will be collated/numbered to match up with the DVD series. :eek :wave

This stuff is blowing my mind! I am trying to just take it all in - so fun to cross reference the rods now with any random theory I might pull out of my ass and quickly validate or refute the possibility - so cool! thanks again man!

In the Homestretch with the filming, just 1 case and a few odds left to film (Plus the introduction and final thoughts disc done in full Gnomish Celtic regalia with a supreme nod to A.J. Campbell). then time to really focus on taking tapers for the tech manual. May end up doing this in one year or less. Surprise surprise surprise;-)

Edit; This will be one of the most unique special editions in fly fishing literature/ History ever produced and there will not be a wait of many years to see the end product. The tech manual will be done well before Christmas this year.

Cheers from da cave and the evil Svirneblein "Cecil B Da Gnome" :lol :rollin :eek

Hey Jeff,

What an incredible set of DVDs. Thanks for producing this monumental work. Besides being a great historical work to view, it is way fun to look at all the rods.

Thanks,

Alan

Folks might want to take a look at the comments re. these DVDs in the Ephemera "Historic" section. Likewise you that are interested in things "historical" just might want to add some information to the topics.

Good work Jeff....Keep it up!!
