Sorry to be late to post but just saw your reel Adam and it is a beauty. Love the look of the copper with the in the white aluminum. Very nice fish on it too,mojo in it for sure. Fish it with pride,not everyone has the skill to make such lovely gear. Thanks for sharing

I’ll I can say is spectacular. Both the craftsmanship and the catch. I’d love to see a replica of this reel in a 4wt size.
Just a guy, trying to build a tool.

Is real Ebonite still a challenge to source ?
and while you are here, is a reel 4 in the works ?

Very tasty reel. Enviable in every way. A few years ago I bought a supply of ebonite rod from Edmund (sp?) Scientific. Sold as educational prop for science classes, sparks. Do no recall if they were still selling cat skins! at the time. Handy for crank knobs.
