Re: Netflix
#21I saw an early screening of the movie last year followed by a panel discussion that included the author and director. Military vets in the audience commented that the flashback scenes felt like realistic portrayals of PTSD. I found the movie intense. While this may not go on my list of "see often" movies, I believe it does a great job highlighting the healing effect of fly fishing and is a worthy addition to the canon of fly fishing movies.

#22My wife and I watched this last night. Did anyone else notice what looked like some sort of bandaid on the trout in the opening scene? What the heck was that?
Re: Netflix
#23I watched the film early this week on a flight from London. I enjoyed the film and I especially enjoyed watching Brian Cox. Just a couple of days before the flight I was very fortunate to see him act on the stage in London playing James Tyrone in Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey into Night. In his long career Mr. Cox has won a Golden Globe, a Lortel, an Emmy and a couple of Olivier acting awards among many, many other awards. He is most certainly an “A-list actor.”

I particularly liked his performance in "Deadwood" many years ago. Brilliant, young man.
