Very Cool Silk Line Dryer

or however that dang word is written! : ) Use this forum to discuss those things that are related to, directly, or indirectly, fly fishing, i.e., tackle, catalogs, single malt scotch, cigar preferences, pipes, camera gear, etc. This is sort of an off topic area but one related to bamboo and fly fishing.

That is really cool! It would be great if you use several different lines per trip.
Thanks for sharing.

That is very very cool - wow!
What's the backstory?
I'd store my silk lines in this and load them onto the reels as needed
How much? (LOL)

I don't know any of the backstory, other than I bought it at an estate sale and my jaw dropped when I opened it up. There was not much other fishing stuff, but I missed out on it's matching cousin:

I wonder what was in it....

That is a fantastic find. I love it!
As for the other box, it probably only contained a half dozen 1912 check red agate Hardy Perfects of varying sizes. Just kidding.
It definitely is the kind of mystery that would eat away at me, though.
Again, great find, Webfly!

Looks like a scratched out inscription below the fish? Can you read it?
