Another Payne to the collection.

I just added another Payne to my collection of Payne rods, I now have two. :) A beautiful little (I use that word loosely), 10 1/2', 3/2, 218 complete with original bag/tube/and ferrule plugs, unfortunately there's no fighting butt that came with this rod. It seems to cast a WF8 very nicely but, I'm going to try a couple different wt. lines just to make sure. I'm really looking foreword to steelhead season here in the next couple months, but first I'm going to try and bend it on some Sockeye salmon next week.

And one more. One thing I will say is, this rod is capable of handling fish much larger than these little reds. I'll be looking forward to trying it on steelhead next month.Image
