#1621Fished my Cortland 444 Ltd (Sharpes) today.
With a cast of 3 flies, Hairwing Hare up top, Partridge and orange in the middle and a softhackle hares ear on point.
Beautiful little SE Washington River
Fished it with a matching 444 multiplier and Sylk line. Fish a lot of different rods but always special fishing boo.

#1624I am headed to the cabin tomorrow...lots and lots of stuff on the "Honey Do" list...but I will take some time to fish my newly refurbished Philipson Pacemaker. The Rio Grande is still running full and muddy, so it will be high mountain lakes.

#1625The Beaudex is a good match for that rod - best of luck breaking in the "new" rod!

#1627I was up on the Firehole last Wednesday and Thursday. Mostly fished my SweetGrass 3 wt which was too little rod for the wind.
Changed to my Orvis 7 1/2' 6 wt with a 406 DT5 fly line and did much better in the wind
Just very few fish landed in 2 days

#1631That’s fantastic!RichieT79 wrote:I took my Winston "Lettle Feller" 7 1/2' 3 oz 4 weight out to Crane creek today in SW Missouri. The trout were hitting size 16 sulphurs and BWOs all morning. The water is so clear you can watch them think about hitting your fly. More refusals than takes but it was an amazing day.

Granger DS8642 5 wt
Chubb 8.5’ 3 wt
I want to be buried with my favorite rod.
I hear the Styx River has Fish.
