Back out there yesterday with my Dennis Menscer 8' 5 weight hollowbuilt rod and the old cast CFO IV that married that rod seven years ago. Two foot wild brown from a classic Catskill freestone river, the Beaver Kill on a size 18 olive. Doesn't get better than that!
Took the 8' Aroner Spring Creek out last evening. One fish on made my perfect sing 3 times before the fly popped out. Two other 18-20" buttery Browns came up and slashed at then refused or missed my Hendrickson attractor dry close in in some interesting pocket water. Really pleasant time out on the water. No pictures of the rod on the Farmington this time. Next time..
I want to be buried with my favorite rod.
I hear the Styx River has Fish.
Another day, another fish on the jenkins 70l
This rod is amazing. Fishing a 406 dt3 on it. It is a ninja. An assassin. I think it's hooked 2 dry sipping fish in about 9 casts.

You've sure jumped into the bamboo experience with both feet! Love your rods.
Fished some small Western NC and Eastern Tn streams this week with a rod I put
together with a Dennis Stone blank 7ft. 3pc. 4wt. hollow built. Sweet little rod.

Well, life tosses us changes we must adapt to...and this is how I'm adapting, by selling off the graphite and replacing most with something soulful
Plus I really like fine tools, and I fish a lot.
This jenkins is next level good, regardless of materials. It's a damn fine tool.
This new to me Blackburn 8'3" 4wt was a new feel, and after half an hour, we were getting along very well. Handled wind and a dry/dropper with a long leader like a champ. 4 or 5wt line seemed good, though I preferred the 4.
Bill Blackburn 6’6” 2/2 4 wt with Peerless 7M and DT 4. Fishing up high today and tomorrow due to all the rain; main river and tailwater chugging away thru early next week.

We've been fortunate to have access to a private 30 acre bass pond recently. Flung poppers with a new-to-me Granger 9660 Champion this past weekend. They aren't trout but ranging up to 3-4lbs they're plenty of fun on the big stick.

Good times!

Drag Free,
Something like that is my goal for the summer. Looks like fun.
