Thanks, briar549! Yeah, I think the Heddon 60 is the prettiest fly rod ever made.

I have been fishing an E C Powell 9' rod the last couple days. It worked great throwing large dry flies and handled the strong fish in high water . The rod was made for this kind of work

I had this little 7 foot 4wt Leonard Duracane in the classifieds this week, decided to take it fishing on Tuesday. It was such a hoot to fish, I think I'll keep it for a while!

I got to finally do a couple of bucket list streams this past week. I used a 8’ 5wt Kushner B taper that Kentucky Jim had made a few years ago. I got to fish the Yellow Breeches and the Letort. Caught 3 nice trout on the Yellow Breeches and hooked a very small brown on the Letort but could not get him to me. Carlisle and Boiling Springs are great little towns to spend some time. Really great locals we meet. Barry

I fished today in Southeast Minnesota with an AJ Thramer Dickerson 8013 and a Richard Alexander reel. Just a great day to be outdoors.

Kudos to Dennis Stone - his fairy Catskill 8' clone is all that is perfect on my headwaters - will handle a 12' knotted leader on short casts and coddles 1 pound Maxima and small dries...

I fished my Schroeder PHY Perfectionist today, with an older Ross Colorado 1. Wonderful rod, very easy casting. I never cracked the fish code today though. They were rising but I never got more than refusals. I threw everything at them. Sipping rises, I suspect emerging midges, but they even refused by imitations. Still a fun outing.
