That brings back some memories MAFry. You would have stood out like a sore toe in that outfit and using those rods. Hope you didn't cop too many strange looks. In the 20 year period that I fished it I only ever saw one person fishing cane (and he was wet wading in the middle of Winter). I miss it but not the minus eight degrees mornings, tramping through the dark so as to be the first on my chosen pool.

PHY 7’ 4wt taper built by Munsey. First time in the stream, performed marvelously with a 444DT (Wulff shown here)

Thank you for the kind words. I need to move around some lines to reels in order to fish some more rods. The shuffle!

On the Deschutes River with 9" Heddon that I refurbished a while ago, dont know what the model # was. Someone before me stripped all the script off. Nice casting 6 or 7wt.

My favorite: 8.5' Heddon 17 with 1 3/4F on the North Tongue River in WY. Took this fish on a hopper in a section where the stream was only 6 feet wide.

Got a couple of hours in with a 4wt 8 1/2' Edwards Special, and they were a couple of thoroughly enjoyable hours. Even the 10" cutthroats will bend it nicely! God bless cutthroats as they always seem to look up!

Oh my, those brookies...

Once again the 7'0" Hoffhines 4wt came out to play fishing #26 olives (Plauditus...the mayfly formerly known as Pseudocleons) on a calm, gloomy day. Got some #28 & #30 hooks on order, but that's for a different forum.
