Another few pics of 'green' wrapped rods. The one in the middle is a special built Leonard 50 DF from 1979 (I believe).

Never seen a green-wrapped Carlson before. All three are gorgeous.

I would rather be out fishing today and not taking photographs of signature wraps. But we have eight inches of new snow on the ground, this after seventy degrees last Monday. The snow is not very favorable to fishing, but gave me the motivation to set-up this photograph. Where is our spring?

Yes, the Divines are neat. Pea
les, those are some stunning rods. I especially like the Leonard Hunt. Do you know when it was built, and who the Steward of the company was at the time? Ric

Ric, the Leonard rod is a 49 Hunt Special from 1982 or 83, I think that makes it a Foster? Plastic still on the grip, it’s one of the few rods I own that has never been fished.

Peales,
Yea that was a good day. Caught that one in the picture, then had a brown run me 150-200 yards down stream. Went to rebuild my leader and found out 3X was the smallest I had in the vest. Tied on a big Delaware Adams and a bruiser decided it was dinner. Thought I would break the rod when the tippet (3X) would not break. Finally the fish threw the fly. Yea it was a good day.

So Red1,
who is the maker of that mysterious dark rod? Glad to hear you didn’t break it. Thankfully I have never been in a situation where fish had the potential to break one of my rods. I’m doing to stash some extra 5x tippet in my vest tomorrow!

I took one of my new acquired rod outside yesterday. A W&M and most of the rod has reddish orangish thread. But some one reworked the top section with black thread. Now the bottom & mid look extremely great in bright light. But the two tip are a total unmatched. Little bit disappointed but I knew what I was getting. Ugh, one more thing to chase.
