#124Greg,
Thank you for such outstanding information about my Wes Jordan! Your data base and info like this are a National treasure. I am the 3rd or 4th owner and hope to fish it for Steelhead one day. Seems like the right fit, especially for the adverse weather.

#130Saw this one at an obscure auction:
SN 28577, Special, 8', 3pc, 1 tip, 4-1/2oz, 16-10 ferrules, aluminum reel seat with black hardware, gray sock, aluminum tube with white/blue/gold label. The pics aren't great, and I'm no expert, but I think it has Super Z ferrules.

Re: Orvis Database Update
#132I just purchased an Orvis rod from Carmine Lisella, not listed in your data base. information from label:
Serial # 38063
Style: Battenkill
Length: 7 1/2'
2 piece with 2 tips
Weight: 3 7/8 oz
Line test HDH (6)
All 3 serial numbers match
Both tips appear to be original
Note:on the label the length appears "71/2' 2pc. 12"
I imagine the "12" means 1 butt section and 2 tip sections"?
I think the ferrule size is 12/64 best I can measure

#134Greg,
I'm helping a friend sort through her late husband's fishing gear. Apparently he was a huge fan of Orvis rods, 2 of which are bamboo and are not listed in your database.
#1: #89010, Far & Fine, 7'6", 2/2, 4 3/8 oz, WF5F, western grip with u/l real seat over light wood
#2: #64928, Mitey Mite, 5', 2/1, 1 1/2 oz, HFG, sliding rings over full cork grip

Re: Orvis Database Update
#137Another rod for the next update showed up today that has me pretty excited. I've had my eye out for this version for a while and every once in a while you get lucky! It was at an online auction with zero other fishing stuff. The pictures weren't great, but showed enough I was able to place a cautious bid and it turned out much better than expected...I was pretty much in shock when I took it out of the tube.
Serial number 72119, Battenkill 3-piece, 2-tip, 8', 4-1/2oz, 16/10 ferrules, green bag, aluminum tube with silver/green label and hex cap.
It's been handled a bit with just a trace of cork soiling, the ferrules have been together a few times, but I honestly doubt it was ever fished. It was personalized "Louis J. Perschy".
