I have a ~10’ Hardy Palakona Crown Houghton Fly rod that needs a new home. 3/2 with cloth bag, tip tube no cap, no tube.
I received it about 7-8 years ago and never messed with it.
Very interesting rod, has a lot of intermediate wraps, locking ferrules with hardy stamps, 2 tips, and a butt that a cap unscrews revealing a metal blade, that I’m guessing is meant to stab into the ground.

Peeking at hardy serial numbers, I’m thinking late 20’s or early 30’s rod.

I cannot guarantee the ferrule stability, I thought I remember one of the ferrules twisting when I first assembled and disassembled the rod, although I cannot recreate that now (without trying to break something). Some varnish is chipped and definitely has age.

The tips are the same length although a inch shorter than the mid and base sections which I am not sure if these earlier hardy 10’ models are made that way.
Not selling at a mint condition price as it has some issues.
Reduced to 200 obo shipped.
