Identification of bambo rod

Recently bought this rod and think it is bambo but not sure. Only marking left on it is shown in the photo below. Any if appreciated.

Bamboo but it looks WW II Japanese.

I bought one of these and stripped it and with new snakes ( 6 on the tip - one on the butt above the stripper) , it was surprisingly a decent and crisp 6 weight. Mine was branded "Diamond" but identical to this one.
