An unsolicited endorsement:

I have several of Vlad’s reels (both standard models and custom reels) and will say that you won’t find a nicer guy or a more talented reel maker. If anyone is on the fence about buying a reel from him, you should do it - you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks Pescacon for your endorsement of Vlad. He has been very responsive to my questions. I am in the process of getting a Trutta for my stepson, and probably one for myself. Thank you, Jed

Well, I taken the plunge and ordered a Bronze LA with a brass reel seat, and though it is not bamboo, it looks like a great fit for my fiberglass 3wt.

I bought one of Vlad's Trutta Perfetta reels last winter and have been really pleased. Beautifully crafted, balances perfectly with the rod I ordered it for, and performs flawlessly! A very nice gentleman to deal with and a master craftsman and talented designer!

Golden, Olive and non anodized satin finish. What color is best on your point of view! Very much appreciate your opinion...

All look great, but if I have to pick a favorite, non anodized satin finish.

Sweet looking reel! The non ano satin and black are my favorites and if it was made in larger size it would make one sweet looking spey reel.

Non-anodized satin finish gets my vote as favorite. They are all beautiful, however!

What type of anodising do you use? E.g. Type 2 or 3?

Vlad - These latest pictures are really great.
There is nothing like having the maker interact like this.
You nearly captured what it would feel like to sit down and spin one of those gorgeous reels.
My next step is a phone call to hear the reel.

I cannot seem to get the generator to make me up an all silver white handle reel.
(opening page of the classic trutta reels - two shown, all silver in background)
Standard arbor Clear with titanium foot with white handle.
in my mind - the pinnacle reel would be blank

Hi Brian! Thank you ! I will do some more pictures for you tomorrow. Do you want clear anodized reel or no anodized satin polished reel?

Clear anodized Vlad, and the one I picture has all silver hardware even... all the screws and center disk too.
Silver throughout - no naval brass, if possible. Not even on the handle post.
Like the second and third photos - white 2 and 3 - from page 1.

I will go listen now on the Instagram page.

Oh man -- it sounds perfect.. no chatter.. just a purr.
Wow.
