Hey Vlad - is there a number on every foot ?
Perhaps I see something like a number on the foot in photo with the satin finish reel on page 2.

I see that Nate at Freestone Vintage Tackle now has one of these reels for sale, for less than $300 at that. Would be a pretty easy transaction for anyone looking for one. Just an FYI.

Short: I am very happy with this setup, and would buy again.

I really enjoy my 3" and placed an order for a matching 2 3/4" that I will see in January. Vlad is a pleasure to work with, and for the price this reel is quite the value. First class all the way.

Just a head’s up for those that may not know, Shane Gray of Graywolf rods and also current owner of Steffen Fly Rods is an authorized dealer of these reels for Vlad and usually has a pretty good stock in a few colors available for immediate shipment from the US at $295.

Great pics Shane - and now I know who has a Titanium version of this reel...

Thanks PescaconDios. I think I have one left and I'm sure I'll be getting another batch after the New Year. They are great reels, Vlad is a very talented reel maker. There's a reason why these are flying off the shelf!

I just received one of these from Shane. Great reel for the money and my first dealing with Shane was a homerun. The reel is well made and nice looking. Nice finish, great click and pawl drag and about right weight to balance fiberglass or bamboo.
My only problem now is holding off on getting an olive color one.

I have the reel with the standard spool. It is very well made and looks like a piece of custom jewelry. To borrow a term from a friend, it is functional art. The reel is elegant without being overdone. The leather pouch that is included is nice and on par with the one I have from Arne Mason. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a wider spool than that on some of my other reels so it will need more backing.

Received a reel from Vlad a couple of weeks ago. It was perfect as always, but it has me thinking this past week. Vlad lives in Ukraine and as I recall he was in Kharkiv, which has seen the heaviest fighting based on what I read this morning. I'm praying for Vlad's safety and all those impacted by the ongoing war.

Very good poit, Jim.

Vlad my thoughts are with you and your countrymen. Be safe, be strong. Sadly, I've been watching this unfold for weeks.

Cheers,
Joe
