Heddonfest 2022

#1

Post by blackdog »

We’re planning a gathering of Heddon lovers the weekend of May 20-22, 2022 on the banks of the Kickapoo River, at the West Fork Sportmens Club in Avalanche, WI. All are welcome, even if you don’t own Heddon gear. We will fish, swap stories, ogle rods and other Heddon gear. Camping is available on the club grounds, and there are hotels and bed & breakfast places nearby. I’ll keep this thread going with updates. Thank you!

I'd love to come but it's bad timing for me. Could possibly make Saturday but unsure at this time. I'll keep watching for updates.
Thanks

Just a reminder to put Heddonfest on your calendar for May 20-22, 2022. It sounds like there will be good attendance from both collectors and dealers. Richard Alexander has made these 3” Heddon 125 replica reels, and will have them at the gathering. Should be fun!

Alexis and I would be interested in attending this gathering. I saw you had dealers coming. We'd like to bring our lines along for people to play with and to sell. We are members of the West Fork Club and will be at the NRG there next month. If you go to the NRG make sure and say hello!

I've had a chance to play with one or Richard's replicas and hopefully I will own one soon. Great 3" reels that balance 7 1/2' to 8' rods perfectly. All my 8 1/2' rods were sold off when Richard brought over reel 002. I recommend getting in line...behind me 😁

Excellent news! I have camped there and fished there, lucky enough to have lived close by for a year to fish streams all around, and to have known Roger Widner and the old store. I'll bring some Heddons! Thanks to blackdog and others organizing.

Hey Blackdog, I am interested in coming. Is there a registration process or do I just show up?

Hi Ken, if you want to sell items we ask that you let us know. Otherwise please just show up. We’re excited this has gotten so much interest!

Just wanted to let you know I'll be attending Heddonfest and bringing along our lines if that's OK. I have my reservations and am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Planning to make the trip up from southern Illinois. Are there any hotels in the area anyone can recommend?
