Hello all!
I'm new here although I've already gleaned plenty of information from the forum and posts. I'm new to building bamboo rods and have been accumulating the supplies necessary to make my own blanks as I just finished a bamboo rod from a pre-made blank. I build furniture as well so most of the hand tools I have – allowing me to drop some coin and not let the startup costs sink me too much! I'm looking forward to talking with all of you and learning more about this great craft.

#7For sure – we just finished the first dip last week and I have two more dips before it’s done… gotta hide the imperfections and wrap overlaps with varnish, but it’s always a learning experience I think.
