I'm thinking of trying to build another trout spey rod. I have a some scandi and skagit style lines from 200 to 325 gr and would like to build something that works within that range. My first attempt was a taper I made up in rodDNA without knowing anything about tapers or spey casting. I'm not sure how it turned out without trying out other rods. I went through rodDNA and there is a 5 and 7 wt T.M. Zeitner switch/spey rods. I didn't find much on Zeinter rods. Has anyone built these rods?
Would I be better off building something for the low 400's grain weight? I'm not sure what I would fish for with that weight but there are some proven tapers in that weight range.
Below is my taper. I now think the whole rods needs to be thicker

Re: trout spey help
#4I didn't try it with 350 - 375 gr. line. I think the 325 gr. was too heavy. I'm not a very good spey caster so I'm never sure what line weight is optimal. I do prefer skagit over the scandi.
