I believe that the tag may be in Stan Bogdan's writing, Bill Hunter or someone associated with either business. The reel was purchased new in June of 1985 from Bill Hunter. Any Ideas on the writing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

#2If you google "Stan Bogdan Handwriting" you will see several examples of Bogdan's handwriting on hang tags. They appear to be a match to your slip of paper but I'm no expert.

#3I am no expert on handwriting either but I agree with Hatch.
The writing on the tag in the picture looks very much like other tags found doing an internet search.

#5Third such one I have seen now.
Keep it tied to the reel.
Better safe.
