More than 20 years ago, my old friend, the late John Betts, drew a map of the Battenkill for me. He included lots of little "add ins" - like drawings of the Orvis logo, LHP, etc. I could add them in or not. Well, after all these years, I chose to scan and print basically just the map. And thought it appropriate to add some flies to make a shadow box out of it. Lew Oatman seemed a perfect fly designer for my purposes. I think I'll try to make 10 of them and actually sell them...to help offset the cost of the materials for all the shadow boxes (and their shipping costs!) I have donated to salmon conservation and a museum (NOT AMFF) to help raise funds. They'll help me buy more materials and so what I can to help those organizations.
Anyway, thought some might appreciate a look at the beginning. Just tossed a piece of mat board over everything. Haven't decided on colors, frame, etc. yet.

#4Very nice indeed. Almost makes me want to drive further upstate and go fishing but, well, tomorrow marks December.
