Most Memorable Fishing Photo of 2021
#1As 2021 winds down and 2022 fishing seems miles and miles away, my thoughts turn to my many fishing adventures of this year. Of all my fishing adventures this year, my most memorable photo is of a Southern Appalachian brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis).
What make it memorable is not only the beauty of the trout, but it was also caught in the company of two very dear friends!
What's your most memorable fishing photo of 2021?

#4Beautiful pics.
I have a lot of great memories from the past year preserved in my digital imagery collection, but I think this one stands out heads and shoulders for so many reasons...if I'm remembered for nothing else, I hope this right here sums it up for me.

#6For me, nothing beats having a chance each year for this cheesehead to fish with his old fishing partner on the HF...

#10I elected to post 3, simply because the way my memory is deteriorating as I age I won't remember any of them
1. Spent some time in early summer fishing/hiking in Montana. The small settlement of Polebridge had a 4th of July event at their saloon. Pickups and rafts in the parking lot as people pulled off of the Flathead. It was my 1st public gathering since the pandemic started. I had mistakenly thought it marked the beginning of the end of Covid restrictions.
2. spent some time on Diamond Lake Oregon in September. Nigh temps dropped below freezing at camp so I was up early or this sunrise
3. Heading in after a day saltwater fishing in Puerta Vallarta the mate prepared ceviche from a small, fresh Mahi in the well. Not only was the finished product better than any restaurant I had ever experienced but I was in awe that the mate retained all his fingers while slicing and dicing on a moving boat in not so gentle waters

A lazy evening in late June. Hot and humid, still as can be. Thankfully, sharing good company with a dear friend.
He was fishing a really sweet 7’6” Summers rod. I think I had a Payne 7’6” with me?
Thunder repeating in the distance. Chased off the stream
ninety minutes after this photo
was taken due to an incredible thunderstorm.

#14A simple selfie my friend Andy shot on his first May afternoon in the Catskills. I tried to get him to join me here for more than a decade. Young doctor, young family, and all of the life that entails. He was worked to and beyond limits during Covid-19, and finally got a break in May and came up for a couple of days.
...a wink of gold like the glint of sunlight on polished cane...

I agree with the above, this may very well be the "Most Memorable Fishing Photo of All Times"! Thanks for sharing it, Jan!
Re: Most Memorable Fishing Photo of 2021
#18This is just an old Sunbeam and a 7 1/2' Howells laying in snow, Eastern Sierra, California, last weekend. Not a stunning shot, but this will remind me how I got motivated to take unused vacay days, pack the gear and food, and strike north to fish in winter. It was wonderful. Few fish, but absolutely no winds, no biting cold (it was weather suited to wearing only a zip up and outdoors shirt, no heavy jacket or muffler). And I got tons of great photos, fished creeks that are usually closed for winter (prob a covid thing, locals need the income I figure). Then fished three rods I'd not had the time to thoroughly fish for several hours. All performed, Powell, Howells and Payne, that famous law firm, and am glad I bought them. So this is my most memorable, coz it will remind me of a great trip in 2021, at the tail end of the year.

#19Thanks everyone for the kind words regarding the photo I posted above. It was taken on the Rush River in western Wisconsin, a stream that I consider home water.
