Tapatalk update Friday Dec 31

Tapatalk is begging me to upgrade the plugin, so I'll be doing that next Friday morning between 10 AM and 11 AM. Tapatalk will be unavailable while the upgrade is in progress. It should only be a short time while this is taking place, barring unforeseen incidents.

I noted Board log-in attempts were met with an error page for about an hour and half this afternoon.

Okay, one weirdness I've noticed is all our avatars have disappeared. I'm looking into that. Please don't upload any new avatars till I figure out what's going on with that.

Okay, looks like bad news on the avatar front. Somehow, either through an error on my part or something acting weird during the update caused all our avatars to be deleted from the board.

We'll have to re-upload our avatars again.

I've tried to up date my avatar, but it will not take. I'm tired that everytime something changes it misses up something else.. I'll just do without it!

03Jan: The User Profile will not take my old avatar file,
and says (?) uploaded files are limited to 60KB. My old one was bigger than that.
Is this new? I've tried saving it to several image formats to no avail.
Please advise a workable avatar-loading procedure for the fumble-thumbed among us . . .

04jan Update: OK, I now have an avatar showing on my phone app but not on the desktop version of CFRF.
Maybe time is healing all wounds . . .
