avatars?

Use this forum for Q&A of a technical nature, i.e., PC, cache, screen related problems, picture resizing, avatars and the like. We will also post facts here for you and instructions of a how-to nature which should make things more fun for you by eliminating some of the frustration with posting photos, etc. Thanks.

Where'd most of the avatars (including mine) go?? All I see is the broken link thingy.

Hi Gary,

Mark said we'll have to redo them:

- viewtopic.php?p=938388#p938388

I just did mine, it works!

Happy 2022,
Kenneth

I tried several times, but it would not take. I had my avatar for years! It will only take from a locally available set of avatars. I can't download from my computer my old avatar witout changing pixels, how do I do that.

Viewed while logged in on my laptop, my avatar image and signature image don't appear to have been lost. Are others able to see them? Thanks.

quashnet, your avatar does not show up on your post. Does mine? Mine shows up on my computer. I guess that does not necessarily mean it's working on the Classics board.

The same happened with me. I can see my avatar, but others do not. I am going to wait a couple of days and then re-post it.

I see yours, Hatch, but not Tim's, nor Quashnet's.

Thank you, all. I replaced my avatar and expect that it probably is now displayed correctly. This morning I can see avatars for Kenneth and hatch, and a substitute avatar for kermit. Kermit, it is very likely that your computer, whether Mac or PC, has software that allows you to resize a photo by changing the number of pixels. On a PC you might look for Microsoft Paint. I use Pixelmator on a Mac. If you take a picture using your phone, you probably have this capability built right into the phone's imaging software. You may have multiple options.

Same here.

edit: Strange, my avatar was there until I posted something. I could see it yesterday....but today it was *poofed*. Luckily I read Mark's post and downloaded my avatar yesterday. I had to re-upload it just after I made this initial post. Ghost in the machine.

Make sure the avatars your reload are no larger the 100 x 100 pixels and no larger than 60 kb. Again, sorry for the loss of the avatars.
