Post by Low-and-Slow »

Hi,
I was wondering if somebody could help with the specifications for all 6 ( 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 they were numbered) of the Marvin Hedge 7-taper silk fly lines.
Many thanks.

Or maybe somebody owns any of the Hedge 7-taper lines and can share the specs.
Many thanks.

Thank you, cwfly. I have that file on my computer and it is my go to reference regarding silk fly lines. However, I am struggling with Wolfram's description of the Hedge 7-tarper.
Tight lines.

I have a Marvin Hedge #12 silk line. I'm not clear what specifications you're interested in but the information in the top photo may be helpful. Sorry about the quality. It's a photo of a paper copy of an insert that came with the line. I would take a photo of the original insert but I placed it in a secure spot as I didn't want to lose it but it's so secure that even I can't locate it now.

Also there's considerable information on the Hedge lines in The Wise Fishermen's Encyclopedia pages 667-674. As Hedge is listed as one of the text's contributors, I assume he wrote at least that portion on the Hedge lines. (Copies are easily available online at relatively small cost).
