Looking forward to seeing everyone at this years meeting.
Meeting many new people.

Anyone else gearing up for the shindig ?

I'm coming! I always look forward to it and I'm never disappointed.
...as for us we pin our faith and fealty to the silk-wound PENTAGONAL rod cunningly yet simply devised of its FIVE subtle, individual triangular strips of cane throughout...

Before I add more photos - I would like to extend a big Thanks!
from me to the entire Southern Rodmakers Gathering folks.
The event is special each and every time.
A joy to see everyone again - and what a place to make new friends.
Chees to all of you - Brian

Brian - A little editing goes a long way - sometimes even back in time!
Lucky me spent a lot of time with that winning rod.
I can still recall it throwing the most controlled loops.
Good on you my man.

11/1 photos added - view from the pontoon towards Cranor's Lodge.
Paddled across to see a 30 inch rainbow on the other side both days.

I heard this gentleman caught a few at dusk too...

Cranor's Lodge hospitality shines - I strongly recommend staying there when you attend the SRG event.

Can't get enough of Darrol and Mary Groth - they are some cool cats from Texas, I tell you what.
((thanks for the construction quad help Darrol))

Image

Together they brings the smiles. He brings exotic handle woods too! Please - keep 'em coming.
This years newest look was at bottom. I am blanking on the name... was it Choyma ?

Image

Image

Ahh... it was Cholla wood. Thanks Darrol - turning us onto a very interesting material to do new tings with.

That's Harry Boyd - taking us thru the building of reel seats...

The individual attention with each question makes this all worth while.

Those stories of Boudreaux and Thibodaux are hilarious!
Keep them coming!
