406 Fly Lines Price increase

#1

Post by tabrods406 »

Hi everyone,

Well it had to happen sooner or later. Our new price for fly lines is $79.00. We have held the $69.00 price for seven years now and the last two years have been rough on small businesses. Our costs have been steadily rising and we've tried to absorb them but the tide is relentless, so to speak, and we bow to the inevitable.

It has been a wonderful journey for Alexis and I. When we first started we had no idea how it would turn out. Imagine our surprise and delight when the idea of a small company like ours going head to head with the big guys and carving out a nice little niche for ourselves and an alternative for an underserved market actually worked. And of course we would have never got off the ground if it wasn't for good folks like you who believed in us and gave us a chance. Alexis and I want to offer a heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone reading this.

Hoping to see you at the "Bash".

Tom

Tom
Well it would be nice if you could continue to work at a loss but I guess then your products wouldn't be available for much longer.
My eyes bugged out when the last electric bill arrived, not to mention the house gas bill, going to the grocery store is getting rather eye popping too, plus gasoline went up over $0.80 cents a gallon last week.
Best to and long live your enterprise

Still a very good value, well worth it for a quality line.

Hi Tom,

Even at the new price, 406 fly lines are the best casting and best bargain in the world of fly lines!

Sue and I are looking forward to seeing you and Alexis at the Bash :D

As the others have said, the lines are still a good value at the new price.

We get it, Tom; best of luck going forward.
I spent most of my money on shotguns, fly rods, guitars and banjos. The rest I just wasted. (Apologies to W.C. Fields)

Definitely worth the 10 bucks to support a “local” business selling a quality product.

Nice flyline, probably, but I keep thinking back to when I would buy a Cortland 444Sl for $32 and that thought that was expensive. Everything has gone up in price and you had to do what you had to dod to remain competitive and in business. Good for you,
