Hello from Colorado
#1Well I have stopped lurking and taken the plunge to join this forum. I live in Mead. I work all over the country, am currently in Western NC. Fly fished for a long time on and off. Have just picked up my first vintage bamboo rod, a W&M Aristocrat 9050. A bigger rod than I probably need to fish the St Vrain or the big Thompson, but it’s a start. Look forward to learning from this group.

#2Welcome to this great forum and the Cane rod community. After you have fished your rod a few times I think you will see that you will start thinking of getting another...and then as is said your hooked ....Welcome and have fun. Best Paul

#3Welcome, Randy.
A 9050 was also my introduction to the Granger/W&M family. And many rods later, it still sees time on the water in CO.
Enjoy the rod and the journey!
Best,
Andy

#6Thanks for the warm welcome. I am sure my rod collection will grow with more bamboo. One of these days I will stop in at South Creek down the road in Lyons and take a look.

#8Welcome, Randy! The W&M Granger is a nice rod for the west. But, I suspect that it won't be your last cane rod!

#9Welcome! Many of the trout I have caught in Colorado were taken with 9050 Grangers. They're often the best choice.
