Hi everyone, my name is Bob, I am an avid fisherman of many species. I love fly fishing, tying and collecting. I live on the Hoosac River and have many Brown trout over 5lbs under my belt. I have a great collection of very old fly tying and fishing equipment that I hate to see sitting in the dark. Anyone interested in anything, let me know! Happy Fishing!!!

Glad to have you. The water is fishing great!
You had me at dry flies.

Any photos of your work ?

Welcome from Cape Cod. Stripers are coming. With no bathers yet, you can cast your fly without getting yelled at by the life guards.

Hi Bob, I'm on the eastern side of the state, but have been enjoying getting out on the waters again recently (my kids are just now getting old enough that I don't feel guilty leaving them with the wife). I've explored as far as the Deerfield a couple times (no luck thus far) but just had a decent day on the Swift yesterday; already looking forward to the next outing.

I'm also gaining more and more of an appreciation for older / vintage / classic things - both woodworking, where I'm trying to learn to do some projects pretty much entirely by hand with vintage tools, and fly fishing, though my collection of vintage fishing / tying gear is only aspirational at this point. :)
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. — John Buchan

Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. — Henry David Thoreau

Welcome! I fished the Hoosac about a dozen years ago. Beautiful place.
