Very true and I actually do not have any problems with eBay's fee and payment system the way it is set up right now. It actually allows customers to pay with many formats other than Paypal, including directly from their own bank accounts, avoiding any fees to me from the likes of Paypal or other credit card style payments.
In total agreement with Webfly's comment.

The one caution: Set up a separate account, with it's own CC. Because, in the case of a dispute with a buyer, ebay can reach into your account and pull $. I've known one instance where ebay screwed up and pulled a significant amount over the disputed item. Eventually it was resolved but not in a timely fashion.

The added advantage, if you buy and sell (tackle, shipping, parts, and hobby items) from that account it will be easy to track the requirements for the IRS at the end of the year and following years.
