Tonka Prince Appraisal

This is the board to ask about the identity, or for an appraisal, of a rod. Please use the outline as explained on the board. If there is a makers name, list that in the subject line. Make sure you include the length, number of sections, any identifying markings and the general condition. Adding photographs is always helpful!

Tonka Prince Appraisal

Post by Shrimpman »

Hello,
I'm going to sell this single tip 7' Tonka Prince and am curious where you think the value lays these days.
It's straight, the ferrules are snug, and has near perfect script/decals. I replaced the stripped green plastic seat and lousy cork.
Original bag.
Thanks for any input.

From what I have seen on Ebay recently, I would think at least $125.

Value as a fishing tool only, since the components were replaced. I agree with $125 value.

The Tonka Prince is a really nice taper and your work looks good. I'd ask more, 2-3 00. and not worry about it. RJB
