Winchester Model 6755 bamboo rod

This is the board to ask about the identity, or for an appraisal, of a rod. Please use the outline as explained on the board. If there is a makers name, list that in the subject line. Make sure you include the length, number of sections, any identifying markings and the general condition. Adding photographs is always helpful!

The #6755 originally came with an extra tip section, which yours is missing. It would make a good project rod for someone, IMO. Not a lot of value, without the extra tip, bag or tube. Maybe $50-75. Just a guess there, as there is really no sales history on these. Made throughout the 1920's.

my tip looks more like the tip shown in this photo at the bottom. Does that tip have a name?

It's an standard agate tip top, an agate ring, nothing special.

OK, thanks all for commenting. Should anyone have an old Winchester catalog for Model 6755, I'd love to know the year. Unfortunately, the Patent Date is Pending. Thanks

The 6700 bait rod series where considered high grade, offered from 8'to 10' with half foot lengths in between. Should have "bell" type guides with the exception of the first guide, an agate guide. Wrapped in dark green.
Could have been build pretty much anytime between '21 and '33.

should I try to clean the cork handle before I try to sell? If so, what cleaner would you recommend. Would the ferrels be made of nickel?
