When I was but a young lad 75 years ago, I was given a jchiggins (sears roebuck) split bamboo flyrod for Christmas. I still have it and it is good shape after having fished many streams in Michigan--including Hemingway's Two Hearted.
So, now I am curious about the maker of the flyrod--anyone have the history of JCHiggins flyrods made just after WWII?
