Hi,
I’m a french fly-fischer man in the Jura area -France- and probably own one of the largest collection of P&M PPP rods in the world...(With a huge of humility...)
I own over a thousand and fifty of them, and 36 different models to be exact, amongst 44 identified so far... -when most of people consider 27 as the number of them-...
I sort my collection by ligatures colors...which in fact corresponds to periods of construction.
Red with green parements (the most exclusive for PPP, the oldest ones), dark green, pale dark green, bright green...
I‘m still looking for any PPP rod in mint condition, especially with red ligatures, but many of other ones as well, dedicated to the US market for example...
I can give many advices or share pics with those who share the PPP passion...
Regards
Marc

#5It's amazing how it takes a while to notice that every rod has its own P&M Silentreel... or perhaps each rod has two reels. Jura, on the border of Switzerland, must be a lovely place to fish.
The mid-twentieth century American rod builder Paul H. Young was strongly influenced by P&M as he designed his own parabolic rod models. Not all of these Young rods are mine, but some of them are.

#10Mon Dieu, oh là là! Or something to that effect. I'm currently in Disneyland Paris with the kids, so a little bit of French is rubbing off .
