What are the bland models that sound the best ?
Better to find one brand new - not messed up before.

#2Brian, strictly a matter of personal taste but in a fly reel bland is not bad and that reel to me is quite nice-looking.

#3I don't know if I'd call it bland, but ages ago the best reel I could afford was a Martin 77LS.
One day after landing a small steelhead, a stranger came up to me and asked what model Hardy I was using. It had a pretty nice click, but IMO not Hardy nice.
