You can think of one off the top of your head I bet...

What are the bland models that sound the best ?

Better to find one brand new - not messed up before.

This reel is not sexy, but the smooth click can be.

Brian, strictly a matter of personal taste but in a fly reel bland is not bad and that reel to me is quite nice-looking.

I don't know if I'd call it bland, but ages ago the best reel I could afford was a Martin 77LS.

One day after landing a small steelhead, a stranger came up to me and asked what model Hardy I was using. It had a pretty nice click, but IMO not Hardy nice.
In our family there was no clear line between psychotherapy and flyfishing...
